On Monday the 13th Caden goes back to the allergist for testing. Today I took him to Primary Children's Medical Center to get his blood drawn for one version of allergy testing, and starting tomorrow he has to go medicine free for 5 days to be ready for another version of allergy testing during the appointment. Our feisty little boy was not a fan of being held down for the blood draw and his veins weren't cooperating. It took 25 minutes and 3 nurses (phlebotomists?) to complete the task. Afterward he got to pick a toy from the 'treasure table' and amazingly enough that seemed to cheer him up a bit. Here he is showing off his outpatient ankle tags and his new truck. I'm hoping the next week without his daily Zyrtec and the skin prick testing go better than the blood draw today.
