Spring is in the air, which means Caden has largely taken up residence outside. This has produced the following two gems:
"Its so hot outside I'm sweating!" (It was 54 degrees at the time)
"I'm not afraid of bees. When I see one I just yell, 'Bee! Bee! Bee!' and run away super fast."

Mr. Obvious
Lately we are getting the biggest kick out of Eric's oh so obvious observations.
Good morning, Eric, how did you sleep? "On my pillow."
"I'm awake!"
Lets go take a bath. "Okay, the bath is over here, in the bathroom. I'll show you!"
"Mommy, I made a very big mess."
"I am Eric. I'm not Caden or Kyle or Mommy or Daddy. I'm Eric."

Artistic
I'm learning Caden is pretty artistic. He doesn't like to color pictures from a coloring book, but can put together a pretty decent picture on the blank paper he always requests. When his little playgroup friends are over and I let them paint with the water colors, Caden's finished product looks a little like a stained glass window while all the other pictures look like a conglomeration of paint blobs. He has an eye for symmetry and his towers *must* be balanced or they are "wrong." I got a good laugh the other day, though, when he found some stickers and came to show me his 'handsome' face. Check out the pattern in the placement of the stickers.

9 Months!
Time is flying by. Kyle is already 9 months old! He doesn't crawl, but he can scoot/army crawl anywhere he wants. He doesn't babble much, but he has a squack too loud to ignore. He doesn't play with many baby toys, but he loves to explore anything Eric takes an interest in. He's growing well and doing well. On the allergy front, its looking like he may just be allergic to milk and egg, with the small possibility of peanuts and tree nuts still.
Stats:

I need a step stool!
Our short little independent Eric totes a step stool with him around the house almost as if it were another appendage. I accustomed to hearing his refrain of "I need a step stool!" followed by the cute pitter patter of his feet running as fast as he can to retrieve it. But the other day I was a little surprised when he came in from outside looking for his stool. I figured whatever he was needing it for would be funny, so I grabbed the camera and followed him outside. This is what I found - Eric trying his best to climb into daddy's truck. For the record, he made it inside the truck all by himself. Here's to step stools. I'm thinking I may need to get an outside one for the summer.
