Light at the end of the tunnel

Ryan's getting so close to finishing the Thunderbird. The owner is scheduled to pick it up from the shop sometime Saturday. Ryan will still have a few small parts to finish after that, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He took a picture of the half of the car he has finished, then enhanced the colors in the picture. What you can see on the hood is the reflection of the shelves the car is parked next to. The rule of thumb for paint jobs is the clearer you can see reflections the better the paint job is. Most factory stock paint jobs have a wavy 'orange peel' effect to them. This show car finish reflects smooth like a mirror.

Wowo! That's a cool looking pic, how did you create those effects?

It looks like a drawing; at first I thought it was some stock drawing graphic you found somewhere out in the ether, but reading the post made me double, triple, quadruple take. That's a seriously cool pic, enhanced or not. I gotta get me one of those!
