Ouch!

Today was Caden's preschool Christmas program.  He has been practicing rhymes and songs all month getting ready.  Today he wore his Sunday best and Ryan took the morning off work so our whole family could watch the performance.  Caden did an amazing job and was a joy to watch.

On the way back to car afterward I somehow managed to roll my ankle.  On the flat side walk that was completely clear of ice.  It hurt.  A lot.  I hobbled to the car and it hurt even more.  I took stock of the situation and decided it was better to go to insta care while Ryan was still home from work rather than to try to drag 3 kids along with me while I hopped around.  The x-rays showed a cracked bone on my ankle.  They sent me home with a brace, crutches, a pain killer, and instructions to stay off my foot.
