Ryan took his first trip around the block in a running Prizm Thursday night. He's got this engine replacement thing down - not a single leak and it runs like a champ. Here is the pretty, pretty completed engine. Next up: body work.
And just to make sure he has no idle time, he already has the next project lined up. He's agreed to rebuild the engine and restore an old boat owned by one of his co-workers. This snazzy jet boat has the biggest engine available at the time it was built. Top speed is supposed to be 60-70 mph. Here it is in all its glory lined up on the side of the house. You can see the patch where he started to buff the paint with his special cleaner. It should clean up nicely.
