Today was opening day for Cars 2, so Grandma and Grandpa Dodds took us all to see it. After vegging out in the theater during the heat of the day, we spent a nice evening up Millcreek Canyon. Ryan brought the hammock he made at scout camp and the kids loved it. They piled on to swing and spent most of the night rotating through. The only time the hammock was empty was while we were eating our tinfoil dinners. While up the canyon we also took some time to throw rocks in the river and have our annual meeting of the Dodds family book club. Each year my parents pick a book for us all to read, and when we get together again we discuss the book. The kids get books as well and are building up quite a collection. Its a fun tradition that most of us look forward to (Ryan usually skims the book a few days before we're set to review it).
