We did most of our celebrating early at the parade last Saturday. The food allergy support group we belong to (UFAN) had an entry and we were able to march in the parade. Caden was more excited about being in the parade than he was about Christmas morning. I don't think he slept a wink. By the time we took the group picture the adrenaline rush had worn off and he was ready to fall asleep in our arms. Grandma and Grandpa Dodds came to help us get all set up before the parade, Aunt Kellie marched with us, and the Scherbel contingency cheered us on from the crowd. We were fortunate enough to be early in the parade, so while the adults chatted afterward Caden and Eric watched a portion of the parade. Both boys are sporting new green shirts that Aunt Kellie bought for them. They are wearing them again today in celebration of the official holiday.
