Its a bit of a tradition in our family for the ladies to go to Swiss Days every year. So far I've ended up taking the boys along with, but Caden is quickly outgrowing it. Swiss Days is mostly craft type booths. A few hundred of them. You spend hours walking up and down the aisles being amazed at what people can do and and how creative they are. To set the mood, traditional Swiss music blares over the speakers. My dad took pity on Caden and decided to come along this year. He brought a ball and figured the two of them could play in the shade while the women shopped. We didn't get 5 feet onto Midway Town Square before we saw the sign advertising a shuttle to the Heber Creeper. I asked Caden if he wanted to go ride a big train. He said he wanted to ride a bus (which he could see right there). I told him he could ride the bus to get to the train. His eyes lit up, "I get to ride bofe of dem!?!" That sealed the deal. Grandpa grabbed some lunch, and after way too many instructions from me crammed into 60 seconds (this is the pack, this is how you use it, this is when he'll need feeds, here is his emergency kit, etc), Grandpa and Caden boarded the bus and were off on a grand adventure. Caden got to ride a bus, a big train, and a little train. He also got to play with elaborate toy train sets and tour the gift shop. He kept asking Grandpa to buy him something. Grandpa told him they wouldn't be buying anything that day. Caden thought for a minute, held up a Thomas the train, and said, "Look, Grandpa! This one's free. Can I take it home with me?" Mom, Kellie, and I enjoyed strolling the aisles with Eric and even found a few things to purchase. Emilee was with us in spirit; she called that morning to let us know she was wearing the headband mom bought for her at Swiss Days last year.
